Policy Development of Cross-border RMB and Current Account Business Introduction
活动背景
2014年1月F-Council邀请了渣打银行的专家和同行分享了跨境人民币借贷业务的现状，展示了跨境人民币业务惊人的发展，预示了人民币国际化的必然趋势。然而，跨境人民币相比外汇在政策上具备怎样的优势？采用跨境人民币是否会对企业税务操作产生影响？是不是仍旧一知半解？为了让各位同行能更好的理解跨境人民币业务，F-Council在2月份依然邀请了渣打银行的专家和同行们分享一下跨境人民币政策发展以及经常项下操作事宜。 Background
We could find out that Cross-border RMB was developing with the surprising rapidity after the last month teleconference which was shared by Standard Chartered Bank. However, we are not clear about what is Cross-border RMB’s policy advantage compared with SAFE and what kind of tax risk will be faced. F-Council will also invite the expert from Standard Chartered Bank to share the development of cross-border RMB policy and operation under current account business.

History of Cross-border RMB Development
December 2008, The State Council decided to carry out cross-border RMB settlement pilot on some areas of trade in goods.
July 2009, The State Council decided to carry out cross-border RMB business pilot in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Zhuhai.
Jun 2010, Cross-border RMB business pilot was expanded to 20 provinces and cities.
January 2011, The People’s Bank of China introduced pilot management approach of foreign direct investment in RMB settlement.
August 2011, Cross-border RMB settlement extended to the hole country.
Jun 2013, The policy of simplify the process of cross-border RMB business was published.
